Welcome to the Mechanical Horizons server. Build physics-simulated airships with your crew, grow from a hand-cranked shaft to fusion reactors, trade with real coins in a player-run economy, and find out what happened to the city that once flew above the clouds.

How the server works day to day. The prices below are the server's actual settings.
Form a crew
Make a party with FTB Teams from the teams button in your inventory, then invite your friends. A party shares quest progress, one bank account and its land claims.
Claim your land
Claims are paid in coins: 1 diamond coin per chunk for your first 20. A claim alone doesn't protect anything. Each protection costs a small upkeep every 5 minutes. See Land and claims for every price.
Earn and trade
Mint coins, open shops and sell to the whole server with network traders. Keep your money in the bank: it's safe when you die, and it pays your upkeep automatically. See Coins and shops.
If you die
Your items stay in your corpse where you died. Go back and open it to get them back.
Loot is fair
Every structure chest has its own loot for each player, so nobody can empty a dungeon before you get there.
Keep machines running
Force-loading a chunk costs 1 netherite coin every 5 minutes while someone from your team is online, so only force-load what really needs to run while you're away.
Wars are real here. Teams can declare war on each other from the claims menu. It's expensive for the attacker, and it raises the defender's upkeep too. Keep enough in the bank to cover your protections.

Want a private world for your own group? Everything in the pack works in multiplayer: shared quests, team bank accounts, team claims and wars. Use the server files for the same pack version as your players and give the server at least 8 GB of RAM.
